# Welcome

InterSwap is a community-driven cross-chain [Automated Market Maker](https://research.paradigm.xyz/amm-price-impact) protocol and non custodial indices building tool that empowers decentralized cross-chain swaps or liquidity transfer with a single transaction.

InterSwap offers the exchange of assets across chains in a simple and powerful way by implementing cross-chain pools with [LayerZero](https://layerzero.network/pdf/LayerZero_Whitepaper_Release.pdf) network as the underlying tech.

## How InterSwap differs

InterSwap is the first cross-chain Automated Market Maker built on top of [LayerZero](https://layerzero.network/pdf/LayerZero_Whitepaper_Release.pdf). 

* **Open cross-chain markets:** InterSwap is a permissionless Automated Market Maker. Anyone can create a cross-chain pool with any native or ERC20 types of tokens.
* **No Intermediaries:** InterSwap does not rely on wrapped/pegged assets, bridge tokens or intermediate chains.
* **One stop solution for cross-chain swaps:** InterSwap implementing a Cross-Chain Smart Routing (CCSR) to tap in the liquidity of existing AMMs to become a one stop solution for cross-chain swaps.
* **Single sided liquidity provision:** InterSwap allows to provide liquidity in single asset and making liquidity as easy as liquidity provision on one chain.

* **Multi-Asset pools:** InterSwap introduces two types of cross-chain multiple asset pools: Weighted Pools for non-pegged tokens and Stable Pools for 1:1 pegged tokens.
* **Dynamic Weights:** InterSwap does not differentiate pools by token weights. Instead applies equal weights from the start and then weights are automatically changed during liquidity provision/removing.
* **Blockchain agnostic:** Interswap supports any type of blockchain: EVM, non-EVM, Solana, Cosmos, Sui, Aptos etc.
